It’s Like Pumpkin Pie in a Mug
If you’re looking for a warm, sweet drink for a cozy winter evening, Slow Cooker Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate is it! When I first made it, I thought, “this is like drinking pumpkin pie with whipped cream!”
This pumpkin white hot chocolate is made with all natural pumpkin puree, milk and cream, cinnamon, white chocolate, and sweetened condensed milk. I would absolutely serve it for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas… and any other time, actually!
This hot chocolate would be amazing with my homemade chocolate chip cookies that are made with coconut instead of butter. Delish!
Making Slow Cooker Pumpkin White Hot Chocolate
You do need to use a good quality white chocolate. I used Ghiradelli (see image below). For the pumpkin, do be sure to get 100% pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie mix.
Add your milks to the slow cooker:
Am I the only one who could eat sweetened condensed milk with a spoon?
Then add your pumpkin and spices. I used a whisk to mix it all together. Just a hint: the spices won’t easily combine into the cold milk, but it’s okay.
Chop up your white chocolate and add it to the slow cooker.
That’s it! Set your slow cooker to low and allow it to heat for 3 hours. You will want to stir the pumpkin white hot chocolate every hour to be sure the white chocolate gets melted and incorporated into the drink instead of clumping and burning.
Give the pumpkin white hot chocolate a good stir, then ladle it into mugs. Top with marshmallows or whipped cream (or both!) and a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg.

Hi Carissa! Great site! And oh-muh-gosh this looks amazing, I’ll be trying it asap! Also, if you don’t mind sharing, what kind of camera do you use? Your pictures look awesome!

Thank you! I’m just using an inexpensive Cannon Rebel T4i with a 50mm lens. My sweet husband sold some of his things to buy this for me years ago and so I just have a personal connection to this camera. 🙂 I’ll use it until it’s dead, but I would like to upgrade lenses eventually. I’m using a $125 nifty 50. Really, my improvements in photography have been more about lighting and figuring out composition than the actual camera. And I still have soooo much to learn!
