Every time we eat at a hibachi restaurant, we’re all asking for more of the delicious white sauce they serve. I’ve been told it’s for dipping the shrimp or vegetables in, but we always pour it all over the fried rice. So yummy!

Homemade Yum Yum Sauce for the Win!
Let’s face it, dinner time can get boring and monotonous. When I’m feeling like I can’t bare to fix another chicken and vegetables meal, I switch it up with homemade chicken fried rice and yum yum sauce. It’s such a hit!
Yum Yum sauce is delicious on hibachi style vegetables, meat, and rice. I also love it because it’s so easy to whip up in just a couple of minutes.

The Ingredients
To make the yum yum sauce, here’s what you’ll need:
Mayonnaise
Water
Ketchup
Granulated sugar
Garlic powder
Paprika
Salt
Ginger powder
Onion powder
All of these ingredients are things you can easily have on hand to mix up a batch of homemade yum yum sauce any time you want.
Making Homemade Yum Yum Sauce
First, mix together all the ingredients in a medium mixing bowl:
I like to use a whisk to easily incorporate the ingredients. Once it’s smooth, cover the sauce and refrigerate it for one hour. Then, give it another good whisk before serving.
That’s it! The yum yum sauce is ready to be spooned over rice, vegetables, shrimp, or whatever you like.
