Ingredients

Scale

2 cups quick oats
2 1/2 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup dried cranberries
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup honey

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, mix together the honey and brown sugar. Heat over medium-high heat until it comes to a boil. Cook for 1 minute longer then stir in the peanut butter and remove from heat.
  2. Stir in the quick oats, crispy rice cereal, and dried cranberries.
  3. Pour the granola bar mixture into a lightly greased 8×13 inch glass dish and pat it down.
  4. Refrigerate until cool and firm. Cut the granola into 12 bars. Wrap each granola bar in waxed paper. Store in an air tight container at room temperature.

Makes 12 servings.

I definitely want to make these granola bars and that CloudPet..oh my goodness! That would be so perfect for us! My husband travels a lot in ministry and we really want my daughter to be connected and this would be so cute! Thanks for sharing about it. I can't wait to see if they have arrived at our Wal-Mart!

My son has been begging for a CloudPets Puppy, but I couldn't think of a good reason to get one until recently I found out I'm going to be on a work trip soon and this would be perfect to tell him that I miss him! [client]

I've seen the CloudPet commercials, and I was wondering if they really worked. We lived quite a ways from my parents, and I'm sure my son would have loved that. But not we are staying in their house, so now it's not so vital! lol! I love homemade granola bars. There are so much better than the prepackaged stuff. 🙂
