“The Cheese Ball”
Million Dollar Dip is known as Bacon Cheese Ball in my house. This is one of my most favorite snacks! When my husband and I were dating and we traveled to his home to meet his family, “the cheese ball” was waiting for us in the fridge.
My mother-in-law has been making Bacon Cheese Ball for her family for decades and it’s really special to my husband. I could snack on it all day long! So glad she shared the recipe with me 🙂
Making Million Dollar Dip
This recipe calls specifically for Miracle Whip. Although I’m a mayonnaise girl, Miracle Whip has the sweet and tangy flavor that makes Million Dollar Dip special. This dip is so simple as it is just cheese, green onions, Miracle Whip, and bacon. We always eat this cheese ball with Ritz crackers.
You can shape your Million Dollar Dip into a ball, or simply serve it in a bowl. To make snacking even easier, lay out Ritz crackers on a tray and top each with a tablespoon of the cheese ball.
Million Dollar Dip – Bacon Cheese Ball
Ingredients
2 cups finely shredded colby jack cheese
3/4 cup Miracle Whip
2 green onions, diced
8 strips of bacon
Instructions
1. Cook the bacon until very crispy. Cool and chop.
2. In a mixing bowl stir together the cheese, chopped bacon, diced green onions, and Miracle Whip. Mix until well combined.
3. Cover the mixture in the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld (refrigerate 12 hours for the best flavor).
Serve the cheese ball with Ritz crackers.

Can you show a picture of the whipped salad dressing
carissashaw says
The whipped salad dressing is shown in the bowl with the other ingredients. In the US whipped salad dressing is usually referred to by the brand name Miracle Whip, although that is just the name for one particular brand and not the actual item. Any generic whipped salad dressing will do; it doesn’t have to be Miracle Whip specifically. Mayonnaise is not a good substitute in this recipe since it obviously has a very different flavor than whipped salad dressing.
