It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, ok… it’s not time for Christmas songs yet. But it is time for celebrating fall and that is super exciting! This also happens to be a crazy busy season. Is it just me, or is the fall schedule just jam-packed with activity for families? So many great things to do… so little time!
As busy as we all probably are right now, I thought I would show you two easy and yummy recipes using Fanta and Dasani to add some fun to your fall celebrations.
This past Saturday, my daughter and I made a trip to Walmart to stock up on supplies for making some fun Halloween snacks. While in the store we sampled Orange Fanta and creativity started brewing in my mind!
You’ll find Fanta in the soda isle at your local Walmart or grocery store:
I purchased orange, grape, and strawberry Fanta!
I can think of several great ways to use Fanta in recipes, but for now I’ll share my top two favorite #SpookySnacks. These two recipes each only require 2 ingredients. That’s right… no tricks, just treats!
Jack-o-Lantern Fanta Floats!
Ingredients and Tools:
Orange Fanta (or the flavor of your choice)
Vanilla ice cream
Clear plastic cups
Black permanent marker
1. Decorate the outside of your cups using the black permanent marker to create jack-o-lantern faces.
2. Fill the cups half way with Fanta.
3. Add a scoop of ice cream and then carefully top the cup off with more Fanta.
My taste tester approved!
2 Ingredient Fanta Cookies!
1 yellow or white dry cake mix
3/4 cup Fanta (I used strawberry for this example)
Optional: Toppings or decorations of your choice (I used powdered sugar for this example)
1. Pour the dry cake mix into a medium mixing bowl.
2. Add the Fanta and mix well.
3. Scoop large spoonful’s of cookie batter onto a well greased cookie sheet.
4. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
5. Cool the cookies to room temperature then top with your choice of icing, powdered sugar, and sprinkles.
These cookies would also be wonderful as sandwich cookies when filled with cream cheese icing, marshmallow cream, ice cream, or vanilla frosting. Get creative!
Stop by your local grocery and pick up some Fanta to make these great 2 ingredient Halloween snacks!
While kids are Trick-or-Treating, make sure they are staying hydrated! I just love these 12-ounce size bottled of Dasani water. They’re awesome for encouraging kids to drink water, easy to carry, and fun to decorate.
All Dasani bottles are made from plant resin and are a special shape that won’t fall over in the fridge. These bottles are good for the environment and sturdy, unlike most ‘green’ plastic water bottles.
Here I used washi tape, chalkboard stickers, and ribbon to give these bottles of Dasani a cute, festive look.
