I was blessed with a head of thick, curly hair! Lest you think I’m bragging, let me tell you, it’s not always a walk in the park to have all this hair. My friends with naturally curly hair will agree; managing curly hair can be work.
Whenever I have moved to a new town, one of my first tasks is to find a stylist that knows what to do with all my hair. Girls, I have had more than my fair share of bad hair styles in my life! It’s not a great feeling when someone cuts my hair then blows it “straight” and turns me around to see how “beautiful” it looks. A lump forms in my throat as I think to myself “wait… does she think we’re done? Is she really going to… okay, well now she’s taking off the cape, so I guess the answer is YES, she is going to send me out of here looking like this!”
Girls with curls know that a hair dryer + hair brush used on curls = frizzy mess. I always need a heavy touch up with a straightener or curling iron.
Honestly, I have had several really good hair blow outs before. I know it is possible, but sadly, it’s rare that I find someone truly gifted with the blow drier. Who am I to judge? I am straight up LOUSY with a blow drier and brush! It’s just too much hair being blown all over creation with the hot air of the blow drier and I have not enough hands to tame it with a brush. It’s such a situation, you guys!
Don’t believe me? HERE:
Not even cute. Nope.
Most days I am happy with my curls and, well let’s just be honest here… far too lazy to be bothered by my wild locks. At 5:30AM I just do not even care, man! But for a curly haired girl, straight hair is FUN! I was super excited to try the Moxie Brush Hair Straightener on allll my hair. (I received one free to test and review!) The Moxie Brush is a ceramic brush hair straightener that allows you to smooth and straighten while you brush.
First of all, I am all about supporting other women in business. ALL about it! Moxie Brush was created by Cheryl, a mom of three daughters, who has thick and curly hair. She loves her curls but sometimes also loves to have smooth, straight hair. I totally get it!
I found the Moxie Brush to be really easy to handle. This would be pretty easy for younger teenagers to use as they’re learning to style their hair. The control of a brush makes smoothing out the frizzies easy!
Check out the Moxie Brush Hair Straightener and tell me what you think! Do you have curly, wavy, or frizzy hair that needs a Moxie Brush?
