Description

Homemade Cinnamon Apple Sauce is so simple to make and so full of sweet apple and cinnamon goodness. Pick your favorite fresh apples and whip up this perfect apple sauce any time!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 56 large apples
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and chop the apples into bite-sized chunks. Pour the apples into a large pot or Dutch oven.
  2. Add the sugar, cinnamon, and water to the apples in the pot. Cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for 18-20 minutes until the apples are very soft. Uncover the pot and remove from the heat.
  3. Mash the hot apple sauce with a potato masher until it reaches your desired consistency. Serve the apple sauce warm.
