7 Smart Tricks to Remember to Take Your Vitamins
Heaven help us, this mama is so busy! Motherhood responsibilities, kid activities, working full time, commuting to and from work, school stuff and homework, household responsibilities (AKA: trying to not live in a pigsty), writing part time, making time for my husband, taking care of the dog… it’s a lot! It’s no wonder my own needs as an individual take a back seat at times.
A few months ago my health had to hop right into the front seat with me and say, “hey, remember me?! You need to be paying attention!” Because I really hadn’t been paying attention. I was just going through my days, doing what needed to be done, ignoring my own well-being… you know the drill.
Friends, we just can’t let each other go like this! This is me telling you, we can do better. We owe it to ourselves and our families to be healthy, happy, and balanced.
The first thing I knew I needed to figure out was how in the world to remember to take my vitamins. This is a whole situation. I’ve been a hot mess in this department. Yes, I know I need to ensure my baseline vitamin intake. But I would forget my vitamins, every single day.
Thankfully, technology and a few tricks came to the rescue and I’ve finally mastered the art of REMEMBERING TO TAKE MY VITAMINS! You guys… it’s the little things that trip us up sometimes, isn’t it?
Which Vitamins?
In addition to my struggle to remember to take my vitamins, I’ve also had to conquer my issues with swallowing them. I have a very hard time swallowing the big tablets that are most vitamins. Because of this issue, in the past I skipped vitamin supplements altogether for years. This is why I am so excited about Nature Made® Adult Gummies! These are a gummy you can trust!
Nature Made® gives you the assurance that you’re getting the nutrients you seek from your gummies. Nature Made® has the first gummies certified by USP for purity and potency so you get the added assurance that it has the nutrients you’re seeking.
Nature Made® Adult Gummies make it possible for me to take my vitamins and love it! Vitamin D3 is a supplement I am sure to take every day. Nature Made® Vitamin D Adult Gummies contain 2000 IU of vitamin D3 per serving. D3 is the body’s preferred form of vitamin D.*
I believe vitamin D3 is so important because it helps improve calcium absorption†, helps support bone, teeth, muscle and immune health†.

Nature Made® Adult Gummies are easy to find at Walmart in the vitamin supplement isle:
I love the taste of these vitamin D3 gummies! With flavors like strawberry, peach, and mango, taking my vitamins has never been so enjoyable.
Now, I’m excited to share with you my 7 Smart Tricks to Remember to Take Your Vitamins.
7 Smart Tricks to Remember to Take Your Vitamins
1. Set an alarm on your phone.
I do find that this isn’t always enough as I tend to then sit and stare at my phone, as the alarm is going off, wondering “now, what in the world did I set that alarm for?” I created a note in my phone called “alarm” and I add a little note to jog my memory if I can’t remember what the alarm was for. Sometimes we just have to be smarter than our own busy selves!
2. Carry your vitamins in your bag.
I always do this. I never leave my Nature Made® Adult Gummies vitamins at home because I’m there so little. I keep all my needed vitamin friends handy, right in my bag that goes with me everywhere.
3. Pack them in your lunch.
Most of us don’t often forget to actually EAT… okay, so it happens sometimes. But normally, placing your vitamins in your lunch bag is a great way to be sure you’ll remember to take them.
4. Ask a friend to remind you.
My five year old is great at this. If I ask her to remind me, she often will remember before I do!
5. Get an app.
I haven’t checked, but I’m sure there’s an app for this. There’s an app for everything these days. Do a little search and find an app that will help you remember what vitamins to take and when.
6. Keep vitamins at your desk.
I do this too! I keep bottled of my vitamins at my office desk. This is a really good way for me to remember to take them… five days a week, anyway!
7. Add “take vitamins” to your daily task list.
I keep a daily task list in a note on my phone. I know some use an app and others still prefer a physical calendar. Use whatever works for you, friend!
Let’s play a game: what is in your bag? If you’re anything like me, there’s a whole menagerie of items collected in your bag that you carry everywhere.
Go now, grab your bag, and tell me in the comments section below what craziness you’re hauling around! Here’s the random contents of my bag:
- Sunglasses
- Wallet
- Keys
- Watch
- A lemon (yes… a lemon)
- Nature Made® Adult Gummies (always!)
- Pain medication
- A green crayon
- 2 hair thingy’s
- Kid’s socks
- Measuring tape
- Lip balm
- Lip gloss (a necessity!)
- Earbuds
Did I miss anything? In all fairness… I just cleaned out my purse. There’s usually a gaggle of receipts, cookie crumbs, and whatever other odd things have been tossed into the bag in the last month.
We really do carry a lot around with us every day, but so many of these things are important to have on hand. I always need my keys and wallet, of course. Sunglasses, earbuds, and lip gloss make my life a little more comfortable. You never know when we will need a pair of socks for playing at our local kids indoor playground or a hair band to keep crazy little girl hairs out of her eyes. And of course, I keep my Nature Made® Adult Gummies handy at all times… you know, just to be sure I don’t forget to take them every day.

I am always surprised by what I find inside my bag. My kids are older yet I still find their snacks stuffed in my purse, sometimes even opened! Now I need to make an effort to carry my vitamins with me. ~ client
