I participated in the Pass The Puffs blog program as a member of One2One Network. I received compensation but all opinions are my own.

Wow has cold and flu season ever been rough this year! Almost everyone who I see on a regular basis (family, friends, co-workers) has been sick at least once this winter. The flu in particular has hit really hard in my area (Columbus, Ohio) this season making so many people miserable.

To avoid getting sick or passing your sickness on to others, please wash your hands often and stay home when you know you are contagious.

When sickness strikes, make sure you are prepared! I made a little “sick basket” to keep on hand for whenever someone in my family gets sick. You can also make a basket just like mine to keep at home or work. Fill your sick basket with items like these:

  • Puffs with Lotion (the BEST tissues!)
  • Cough drops
  • Vapor rub or essential oils to help with breathing
  • Petroleum jelly
  • Cold medicine
  • Vitamins
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Thermometer

What other items would you put in your sick basket? Tell us in the comments section!

For taking care of your loved ones when they don’t feel well but still need to be on the go, make these cute little “sick puffs”! Just stack some Puffs tissues and fill them with cough drops and tie the little tissue package (or “puffs”) up with string. Keep these in pockets, purses, cars, backpacks, desk drawers, and at home.

I hope these ideas will help inspire you to make sure your home and office are equipped to handle the sniffles and coughs that we all face. Please visit http://www.facebook.com/puffs and http://www.puffs.com for more information and ideas!

BONUS INFO: Did you know that Puffs is the only national brand that is dermatologist tested to be gentle on skin? Well, now you do!

Have a great day!
