We are nearing the end of the school year! Can’t you just feel the tension mixed with exhaustion as parents and kids everywhere crawl across the finish line? Sounds like it’s time for a family night out!

Whether your family is celebrating the end of the school year, a big achievement, a birthday or anniversary, or parents just need a break from cooking… a family night out is always a good idea!

When your family takes time to go out for a meal together, be sure that it is truly quality time and not just a group of individuals connecting with their cell phones instead of each other. To help you get the family talking, I’ve pulled together a list of conversation starters.

These conversation starters are light hearted topics and most every age person will be able to have an answer. Click this link to print a copy for yourself:

Printable Family Conversation Starters

How to Use the Printable:
1. Print.
2. Cut the questions into little cards.
3. Place the conversation starter cards in an envelope and pop it into your bag to have on hand when you need them.

When planning your family night out, make sure you are prepared with distractions for the little ones. I’m sure we’ve all lived through those supposed-to-be-fun dining experiences with the littles practically climbing the walls. Think ahead and be prepared! I made a list of items I bring for my three year old to keep her busy when she’s not eating:

What kind of things do you use to keep little ones busy during a dinner out?

Finally, and most importantly, choose a great restaurant that all ages will enjoy. We recently had dinner at Buffalo Wings and Rings. It was our first time there and we all really enjoyed it!

Buffalo Wings and Rings had a variety of dishes to satisfy every appetite. Wings, salads, burgers, gourmet hot dogs, and more! Buffalo Wings and Rings serves fresh food, not frozen, and each restaurant has a qualified chef on staff in the kitchen to assure quality.

The garlic aioli parmesan fries were oh soooo good!

For dessert I recommend the funnel cake fries. I believe these are there for a limited time, so don’t wait! These are delish!

The atmosphere of Buffalo Wings and Rings is casual and comfortable, which is perfect for all ages.

I hope I’ve inspired you to plan a fun night out with your family. Take the time to enjoy your loved ones and make some memories.

Have a great family night out!

Love your ideas! We usually have a little bag of restaurant activities that accompanies us… keeps the toddler busy and out of trouble while waiting for his food to come.

Mmm, yummy! We don't have this wing place out here, but it sure looks better than the one we do have! I like this idea. I may adapt it for my kids as the long days of summer stretch ahead.
